Style is all around

Here is an interview with my friend Alexandra, whose style I've always admired. Here are some great shots of our beautiful girl.

Name, age: Alexandra Spac, 22

What does fashion mean to you?

I take fashion in a positive way and not think that someone fits or not in the current, as a popular way of expression. Fashion is more complex than that, I'll take it as an form of art, the artistic expression goes into clothes. Each garment has a particular relationship to the art of its time, we can see that in different forms of art (paintings, photography), it shows how people choose to dress in a certain period. Nowadays, fashion is more in the contemporary culture, still using the classical line but in a direction to new, vanguardist and excentric styles. For me fashion, means beautiful clothes, from couture to a casual, ready to wear outfit, not glamorous but still sexy.

When did you first discover your passion for fashion?

It's not that I started from somewhere, or maybe I did. In high school I started to be more attentive to what I wear, but not in a fashion victim way, it wasn't about brands or trends, it was just for fun and for the pleasure of mixing different clothes I had in the wardrobe. I like very much to improvise, to give that outfit a detail, a strong color or something that makes it funny, strange, unique and beautiful. Usually I mix with something I find in a flea market or in the closet with the old stuff.

How would you describe your style?

I don't know, maybe I can say that is sometimes very feminine and delicate but sometimes I like to feel like a boy.

In what type of clothing do you feel most confortable?

Anything as long as it is with my state of spirit.

Where do you like to shop?

Flea markets, second hand shops. But this is not a rule, sometimes I buy clothes from shopping malls or other mainstream shops because you can find nice stuff there too.

What are most excited to buy?

Everything :D

What’s your most prized posession?

I don't know exactly.

What’s the most expensive/cheapest item you bought?Do you still wear it?

Most expensive, I think is my Veromoda coat and my cheapest are probably my t shirts, blouses and skirts .I still wear all of them.

Would you wear something if you knew people would look at you funny?

Yes I would. It's nice to wear everything that inspires and defines you. Just play with colors and garments.

Do you consider trends important?

No. In my opinion they are just a reason to shop and to "be" in fashion. I think you can look very stylish and fashionable with your own imagination, of course not neglecting the designers view.

Do you follow trends?

No

What does your favorite outfit consist of?

This is hard to say. I don't have a favorite one, I like very much an outfit that shows your delicate look and that forces you somehow to be feminine.

How do you feel about accessories?

Accessories are an important aspect of a woman's little fashion treasure. I usually make some of the accessories that I wear by myself or I dig in my mother's jewellery box and in the flea markets.

Favorite accessory:

Long necklaces made from glass beads or silver and brooches.

Favorite shoes:

None

Favorite magazines:

Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Dazed and Confused, Dirty Glam, Rubbish Magazine, Elle

Favorite film:

What inspires you?

The victorian age, the 30's, 50's, 70's and 90's.
